Collar or Harness?

When it comes to deciding if you want to use a collar or a harness for your dog it can be hard. That’s is why we have created this post.

During leash training use a harness for your puppy, because it will be easier to control them.

When your dog is large and is eighth months or older then you should transfer over to a collar.

We suggest that small dogs always use a harness. This is because small dogs can easily get collapse trachea, if they are pulled harshly when using a collar.

Use a collar for your dog if it is…

  • No longer a puppy and larger dog

Use a harness for your dog if it is…

  • Still a puppy or is a small dog
  • A senior dog (this will make it easy on the dog’s neck.)
