Popular Dog Breeds: Pit Bulls

About the Pit Bull:

“In fact, “Pit Bull” isn’t a breed, but a term used to describe the American Pit Bull Terrier, the Bull Terrier, the American Staffordshire Terrier, and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier.”

Unfortunately Pit Bulls are usually thought of as dangerous and aggressive dogs.

Any incident that a dog is involved in is never the dogs fault it is only the fault of the person who is supposed to be in charge of the dog.

Why is the Pit Bull a popular dog breed?

People have created this negative stero-type of Pit Bulls and that is why Pit Bulls are commonly seen shelters.

Many people are kind and go to shelters to adopt Pit Bulls because they want to break that bad stero-type.

Did you know that Pit Bulls are actually banded from some countries?

History

“Bull and terrier breeds were created in early 19th-century England for the popular spectator sports of bull- and bear-baiting. When those sports were deemed inhumane and became illegal 1835, dog-fighting sprung up in its place — and thus was the trait for dog aggression bred into the genetic line.” – http://dogtime.com/dog-breeds/american-pit-bull-terrier#/slide/2

Each bolded word below is a reason for why a French Bulldog is a popular breed and each paragraph below goes into further detail on that reason. This post also shows the history of the French Bulldog breed.

French Bulldogs are among the 10 most popular dog breeds (2016), along with the poodle, the boxer, the Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie), and a few others. French Bulldogs are a popular dog breed because they are low maintenance breed, they are a small dog breed, everyone loves a cute flat faced dog, and Frenchies are taking over Instagram which makes it hard to escape their cuteness.

Low – Maintenance

French Bulldogs are a low maintenance breed. Just make sure that your frenchie’s wrinkles are dry and free moisture, in order to keep them clean. But every dog needs to bath and groomed a least every few months (depending on the breed.)

Frenchies a small dog breed

Frenchies are a small dog breed, that is what makes the French Bulldog the perfect “hand bag” dog. Because of there size they are perfect for people who live in apartments or in the city.

Who doesn’t love a cute flat faced dog breed?

Everyone loves flat faced dog breeds such as, the pug, the english bulldog, the Boston terrier, and of course the French Bulldog. Although many people love the flat faced breeds,  a dog’s flat face can lead to respiratory (breathing) problems.

French Bulldogs have taken over the “dog side” of Instagram.

They have really taken over Instagram with their cuteness.
